NEW BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH
MISSION
The mission of New Bethel Baptist Church is to fulfill the calling of God, to minister to the world by His Holy Spirit through the proclamation of the Gospel edification of the body, and salvation to the lost. Matthew 28: 19-20 KJV
HISTORY
In 1864, a small band of Christians organized this great Church at Shady Banks in York County. This great name, "New Bethel" was planted in someone's mind as what our church would be named. The Church moved to several locations and has stood on this current site since 1925.
The late Thaddeus Nettles was the founder and first Pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church. Much prayer, work, time, and effort were put into this great Branch of Zion over the years.
Through all of the improvements and accomplishments, God received and will forever get our highest praise. For all we have and all we will get, we the New Bethel family know, "That every good and perfect gift comes from God." Many souls have been saved since 1864 at New Bethel Baptist Church and we thank God for the vision of the progenitors to give us a place to "Prepare for Eternity." Amen.
